Cathy Ernst, MSN, APRN, NP-C is a nurse practitioner for Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Before coming to DCND she worked as a critical care nurse with a focus on Neurology, Trauma, Coronary and Post Anesthesia Care.
She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree from Sinclair Community College and graduated from Ohio University in 2017 with her Bachelor of Science & Nursing.
She continued her education at OU and earned her Masters of Science & Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (M.S.N). She is licensed as an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) through the Ohio Board of Nursing and is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband Dave and their two sons. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She is also an active member of her church. One of her favorite verses is, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine” Proverbs 17:22.
Cathy’s interest in neurology was sparked while caring for trauma patients in the intensive care unit. She enjoys talking with patients and their families and giving them information that may help improve their quality of life.
